It’s getting difficult to find new superlatives about how well the overall US economy is doing so I thought I would bring up something that is extremely important but not-often talked about.  And, that is leaving a legacy to your family, loved ones and charities you may support.

Over the many years of Jean’s and my marriage, our life has changed.  Because of this fact, I coined a new tag line and I quote, “Life doesn’t travel in a straight line, it’s how you handle the bumps that determine how and where you end up”.  As the years go by, our lives change.  Normally, one of the last things we address is our final will and testament.  With that in mind, it came to us that we needed to update our wills and trust.  So, it’s off to the legal community to adjust and/or amend our final wishes so that what we want to leave behind and the direction we want it to go, actually does go to those that we want.  I thought the attached article might help remind all of us how important it is to have our final affairs well in order.  Should you have any questions about this topic, please don’t hesitate to call or schedule a meeting so we can review your estate plan.

So that we all have plenty of time to get this off our to-do list, I’ve also included an article about the importance of exercise.  I’ve heard it said that, “The hardest part of any exercise program is getting out of bed.”  I just hope both these articles helps us focus on how fast time goes by and making sure our houses are in order.

Hope you have a super week!

Doug Alden
