Somehow, we made it to 2021. Back in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic things sure looked scary. If nothing else, 2020 made us all look at what is really important about our lives and how we might want to move forward intentionally. With this in mind and realizing the new world in which we live, I will be much more intentional with helping clients and those that might want to become clients to focus on the retirement income planning/big picture of life. By being able to see how your entire financial picture works going forward will help us make intelligent financial decisions as life’s events come our way.

Part of the big picture is finally taking a look at our mortality and what we want to leave behind and what it says about our lives. To quote the first paragraph of the attached PDF file, Planning Your Legacy: Where to Start”,

“As a generation, baby boomers are starting to wonder how we can leave our mark upon the world. What, besides material possessions, can we hand down to the next generation? How do we capture and define the wisdom and values that we’ve cultivated over decades of experience? How do we pass these precious assets down to our children, grandchildren, and the world at large?”

the big picture focus of retirement income planning helps us bring all of these issues to the table and consider.

The attached article “Trends to Watch in 2021” is packed with opinions on what may lay ahead this year and on. I thought this read was a really great read and extremely thought provoking. Having Nuclear Fusion that produces extremely cheap energy and technology’s rapid growth are just a few of the themes that we could be talking about as 2021 progresses.

So, as we move forward into 2021, let’s commit to work on the issues we have some control over. Life comes at us all and there’s not much we can do about it. It’s how we respond to these life issues that sets up apart. Remember, life does not travel in a straight line and it’s how we respond to the bumps that can set us apart from the crowd.

Stay safe and, as always, should you have any questions or wish to speak with me, please call or email so we can put something on the calendar.
