Good news! My wife Jean has given me permission to remove the plow blade connected to our tractor. You see, when we first moved to WNC, the following winter there wasn’t much snow. Not until March 15th when the blizzard of 93 hit and left us with 18 inches of snow, no power for 6 days and no ability to get up and down our driveway. So I have to wait until at least March 15th.

There’s more good news. Spring is here and that means flowers. It also means Easter and a renewal of life. As we celebrate Easter Sunday, I hope we can all take the time to celebrate life and its renewal. Simply put the Gospel means good news. Regardless of how we each celebrate Easter, please take the time to stop and reflect on life and how precious and fleeting it is.

Easter also traditionally means some sort of lamb with the Sunday dinner. One of my favorites is lamb chops and I’ve attached a receipt that looks delicious. I’ve always found a nice bottle of zinfandel wine goes well with lamb. Enjoy.

Jean & I are taking a couple of days off so no economic news or Monday morning email. But as is always the case, please don’t hesitate to email or call should you wish to talk or have something on your mind.

Remember, the only choice is optimism, the pessimists never get it right.
